Where have you been?

One of the questions I've been asked the most over the past few years is, "When are you coming back?"
The short answer is... now.
Over the past several months, I've been spending a lot of time behind the scenes planning, filming, and thinking about what the next chapter of Sushi Artisan should look like. Rather than rushing back, I wanted to build something that feels intentional and worth sharing.
If you've followed us for a while, you probably know that I enjoy the process just as much as the final result. Whether it's refining a knife cut, experimenting with a new technique, or trying to capture the details that often go unnoticed, I've always believed there's something rewarding about slowing down and learning the craft.
That's one of the reasons I've always loved YouTube.
Unlike short-form videos, YouTube gives us the chance to tell the whole story. There's room to explain the "why," dive deeper into techniques, and bring you along through both the successes and the mistakes. It feels like the right place to share everything I've been working on.
I'm excited to share that Sushi Artisan will be launching on YouTube in late summer 2026.
We'll be creating videos on sushi techniques, recipes, knife skills, ingredients, gear, and the incredible craftsmanship that makes sushi such a fascinating art form. My hope is that whether you're making your first roll or you've been behind the sushi bar for years, you'll find something that inspires you to keep learning.
There's still a lot of work ahead, but that's part of the fun.
Thank you for sticking with us through the quiet years and for joining us as we begin this new chapter. I can't wait to share what we've been creating.
See you on YouTube.
